Sitting, Waiting, Wishing Chords

Song

(A)I was sitting, (A7)waiting, wishing
(G)You believed in (G7)superstitions
(F)Then maybe (F7)you would see the (C)signs (C7)
(A)But lord knows that this (A7)world is cruel
And I (G)ain’t the lord no I’m (G7)just a fool
Learning (F)loving somebo-(F7)dy
Don’t make them love (C)you(C7)

Chorus
Must I (E)always be waiting, waiting on (Am)you?
Must I (E)always be playing, playing your (Am)fool?

Verse 2

I (A)sang your songs I (A7)danced your dance
I (G)gave your friends (G7)all a chance
But (F)putting up with them (F7)Wasn’t worth never having (C)you (C7)
(A)Maybe you’ve been through (A7)this before
But it’s (G)my first time so (G7)please ignore
The (F)next few lines because (F7)they’re directed at (C)you(C7)

Chorus
I can’t (E)always be waiting, waiting on (Am)you
I can’t (E)always be playing, playing your (Am)fool

Bridge
(C)I keep playing your (E)part
But it’s not my scene(F)
Want this plot to twist(G)
I’ve had e-(F)nough mystery
(C)You keep building it (E)up
But then you’re shooting me (F)down
But I’m already down(G)
Just (F)wait a minute

[Then same as verse]
(A)(A7)(G)Just (G7)sitting, wait-ing
(F)(F7)(C)Just (C7)wait a min-ute
(A)(A7)(G)Just (G7)sitting, waiting
(F)(F7)(C)(C7)

Verse 3
Well (A)if I was in (A7)your position
I’d (G)put down all my (G7)ammunition
I’d (F)wonder why it had (F7)taken me so (C)long(C7)
But (A)lord knows that (A7)I’m not you
And (G)if I was I wouldn’t (G7)be so cruel
Because (F)waiting on love Ain’t (F7)so easy to (C)do(C7)

Chorus
Must I (E)always be waiting, waiting on (Am)you?
Must I (E)always be playing, playing your (Am)fool?
Must I (E)always be waiting, waiting on (Am)you?
Must I (E)always be playing, playing your (Am)fool?

strum pattern i use for this song –
verse and break – dudu chunk (one-two-three-AND-four, four being chunk)
chorus – dudud dudud dudud dudud (one-two-three-AND-four, four being extra down strum)

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the A – A7 in the verses is Am then Am7 (open)
