Lucky Chords

Lucky Chords

Verse

[C][C]
Now do ya [C]hear me
I’m talking to [Am]you
Across the [Dm7]water
Across the [G]deep, blue [Em]ocean
Under the [Am]open sky, oh [Dm7]my..
Oh baby I [G]try

Oh boy I [C]hear, in my [Am]dreams
I hear your [Dm7]whisper, across the [G]sea
I keep you [Em]with me, in my [Am]heart
You make it [Dm7]easier, when [G]life gets hard

Chorus

[Am]I’m lucky I’m in [Dm7]love with my best [G]friend
Lucky to have [C]been where I have[Am] been
Lucky to be[Dm7]coming home again[G]

Bridge

[C] Oh, [Am] oh,[G] oooh..

[C]They don’t know how [Am]long it takes
[G]Waiting for a love like this
[C]Every time we [Am]say goodbye, [G]I wish we had one more kiss
I’ll [C]wait for you
I [Am]promised you, I [G]will… oh

Chorus

[Am]I’m lucky I’m in [Dm7]love with my best [G]friend
Lucky to have [C]been where I have [Am] been
Lucky to be [Dm7]coming home a-[G]gain

[Am]Lucky we’re in [Dm7]love in every [G]way
Lucky to have [C]stayed where we have [Am]stayed
Lucky to be [Dm7]coming home some [G]day

And so I’m [C]sailing, through the [Am]sea
To an [Dm7]island, where we’ll [G]meet
You’ll hear the [Em]music, fill the [Am]air
I put a [Dm7]flower [G]in you hair

And though the [C]breezes through the [Am]trees
Move so [Dm7]pretty, you’re all I [G]see
As the [Em]world keeps [Am]spinning round
You [Dm7]hold me right [G]here, right now

Chorus

[Am]I’m lucky I’m in [Dm7]love with my best [G]friend
Lucky to have [C]been where I have [Am] been
Lucky to be [Dm7]coming home again[G]

[Am]Lucky we’re in [Dm7]love in every [G]way
Lucky to have [C]stayed where we have [Am]stayed
Lucky to be [Dm7]coming home some [G]day

[C] Oh, [Am] oh,[G] oooh..
[C] Oh, [Am] oh,[G] oooh..

[Dm7]

hey what is the strumming pattern for this?

Uke Juke July 13, 2010 at 12:59 pm

I just do down down-up, up-down up. You can do variations of it to fit the song. :D

dylan August 18, 2010 at 1:45 pm

I know rite but u know what, I got this song down.

@dylan- is another way to do C chord,
its a higher tone and its on the third fret :)

Laura February 19, 2011 at 7:49 am

@Marz, the way I play the C chord is way easier. I just put my finger on the 3rd fret of the a string. That’s it.

ZaQ March 14, 2011 at 5:45 pm

@Laura- that’s the way everybody plays C duh. Thats how the conversation got started. The different way of playing c sounds better for this song

chipster March 16, 2011 at 6:59 am

Uh, I think there’s an Em instead of a C in a couple of places. Would anyone agree?

miim March 24, 2011 at 11:11 pm

thx vry much :)
it’s vry easy to play

stacy March 30, 2011 at 12:13 pm

i know its super easy :)

emily April 10, 2011 at 9:37 am

its even easier if you use the chords this way…
C on third fret of the a string
Dm7 with a bar on the second fret plus third fret on the a string
Am with g second fret, and a third fret
G with c and a on second fret, and e on third.
keep Em the way it is.

crazy easy! :)

Use Dm Instead of Dm7. Strumming pattern down-down-up-up-down.

timothy August 10, 2011 at 6:37 pm

[C] Oh, [Am] oh,[G] oooh..

[Dm]They don’t know how [Am]long it takes
[G]Waiting for a [F]love like this
[Dm]Every time we [Am]say goodbye, [G]I wish we had [F]one more kiss
I’ll [Dm]wait for you
I [Am]promised you, I [G]will… oh

Strumming suggestion:
down up down up chunk up down up

ukegirl October 7, 2012 at 12:17 am

can you please suggest an easier strumming pattern?

iqbal March 21, 2013 at 12:03 am

Dudu-chunk-ud
Uuu-chunk-udu
Dudu-chunk-ud
Uuu-chunk-G-udu

1. Am
2. Dm7
3. G
4. C

Daysha April 15, 2013 at 7:31 am

The strum pattern for the verse is -
Down Down Down Down.
The strum pattern for any other parts of the song would be -
Down Chuck/Hit Up Up Chuck/Hit.

Lauren Syng May 1, 2013 at 11:12 am

:( The C chord looks really complicated compared to the one I’m used to. Will either one work?
